Professional Experiences: I have taught for over 30 years in the Catholic School System. The majority of these years have been as a fifth grade teacher. I began my teaching career at St. Boniface Parish School in Anaheim. Later I taught at Holy Family Cathedral School, St. Philip Benizi in Fullerton, and Our Lady of Fatima. I have been at OLF now for about 20 years.
About my family: I have two daughters who are proud alumni of OLF. Kara works for Clorox Corporation as a financial analyst, and Allison is currently studying to become a nurse. My husband, Patrick, has been in private practice as a Marriage/Family/Child Therapist for over 30 years. He is also a part-time counselor at Holy Family Cathedral School. In addition he is an adjunct professor in psychology at Concordia University in Irvine.
Fun Facts, Hobbies: An interesting fact about me is that I was born in Croatia on the island of Vis which is located on the beautiful Adriatic coast. I came to the United States with my mother and sister. We traveled on the ocean liner called the SS Constitution across the Atlantic Ocean. When we reached New York Harbor, we boarded a train for Lost Angeles where my father waited for us. This was the first time I saw my father. It was quite an adventure. My hobbies are hiking with my husband, visiting Yosemite whenever I can, and spending time with my daughters. I also enjoy reading all things about early American history (especially the Revolutionary period) as well as Biblical history.
