We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Linda Gould has taken on the important task of securing OLF’s successful Annual Giving Campaign for 2012-2013. We are very grateful for her leadership in this campaign, and for the continuous, wonderful support from all of our parents and supporters. In your Yellow Folder, dated September 6th, you received a Pledge Envelope, an invitation for a Matching Contribution, and this Annual Giving Campaign Message from our OLF parent, Mrs. Gould.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the new school year! It’s always an exciting time for our children and for us as parents in our OLF community. This year, I was asked to be the Shepard of the Annual Giving Campaign. This is a daunting task but one that I could not refuse because it is a key component to the financial stability of our school and the education of our children.
We have all made the choice of a private Catholic education for our children for our own personal reasons. However, I believe we all share the same goals. As the mission of our school identifies:
- Nurture our children to discover their God-given gifts
- Encourage our children to use these gifts in the service of others
- Empower our children to be models of integrity and peacemakers who work for justice
It is our responsibility, as parents, to work together with the school faculty, staff, and the parish community in striving for excellence in the education of our children. This is our school and our community!
Nine years ago, we launched our first Annual Giving Campaign. It has been a huge success. The funds raised help to bridge the gap in our operating budget and directly benefit the school and our children by supporting the spiritual, academic, athletic, and scholarship programs at OLF.
This year we have two simple goals:
- 100% family participation through prayer
- $40,000 in total financial donations
To reach our financial goal, I am asking EACH Fatima family (along with grandparents or friends) to please consider making a donation to this vital campaign. A $300 donation, less than $1 per day, from each family would reach our goal. Some of you may be able to give more, some less; whatever you can give is a blessing! But please pledge an amount, whatever the amount. If we attain 100% family financial participation, the door is open to grants and other financial opportunities available to help our school.
I have enclosed a pledge form and envelope. The form also includes information on Employer “Matching Gift” programs. The Employer Matching Gift program is an easy way to help us achieve our financial goal. Employer programs change every year, so please, take a minute to ask your HR department if they have a matching gift program. It doesn’t cost anything to ask.
For everyone who participates with a financial gift by October 12th we will again have our “Early Bird” Breakfast for parents and students. It is a great way to recognize and thank everyone who participates in the campaign. Our breakfast will be held on October 19th.
There is no question that we all want the best for our children. This is why we are all here at Our Lady of Fatima Parish School. OLF is a huge part of our lives and is where our children develop a foundation that positively shapes their lives. This time is priceless!
