Our Mission

Our Lady of Fatima School is a Catholic parish elementary school. Our mission is to nurture individuals to discover their God-given gifts, to encourage them to use these gifts in the service of others, and to empower them to be models of integrity and peacemakers who work for justice. We—parents, school staff, and parish community—collaborate in striving for excellence in the education of our children.

Student Ambassadors serve San Clemente community

Economic times are tough in our nation and our communities. Our student “Ambassadors” respond to this kind of challenge by mobilizing the entire OLF learning and faith community to make a difference. Led by our students in Kindergarten through Junior High, our parents, faculty and staff  were motivated by a contagious enthusiasm of love and caring. Throughout the month of November, students collected hundreds of canned and dry food items, and distributed them to the local food bank. This effort made an impact not only in helping out our community, but most importantly for those who are actively involved in service learning – our students or “OLF Ambassadors”, as they have come to be known in the community.

Blessings upon blessings!

Learning how to appreciate one’s supportive learning and faith community is an important lesson for any child! On November 18, every student at OLF demonstrated his/her knowledge of respect and gratitude towards a “Special Person” in his/her life. The nurturing care, financial sacrifices and motivation our students receive from their families, the Parish and the greater community, were reciprocated through prayers at Mass, a wonderful Special Persons Breakfast and expressions of  ”thank you!” The large crowd of visitors, volunteers and attendees attested to the importance of this OLF tradition! Our students are truly blessed!

History 11/11/11 Alive: Veterans honored by school children

On November 11, our students attended a special School Mass in honor of our nation’s veterans. The church was decorated with prayer posters made by students, who thanked our servicemen/women for their service to this country. Many children had the opportunity to meet the heroes face-to-face at the courtyard reception that followed. A special time for all, was the “authentic history lessons” that followed in all classrooms, with primary accounts of sacrifice for our freedom!
